IOMAX IDE to SATA Convertor - Overview
If you are lloking for a way to use a SATA harddrive in an old computer thene the IOMAX SATA / IDE converter is a pretty good option.
IOMAX IDE to SATA Convertor - Hard Drive Jumper Settings
The setup instruction are OK but I ran in to a small probelm, involving the jumper setting ON MY HARD DRIVE not on the covertor.
Make sure the jumper setting on your SATA hard drive is set to 1.5 GBS Mode, as I think this is the maximum that the card supports. I tried to run setup a number of time (to install XP) and the drive was not recognised until I moved this jumper (small grey plastic bit shown in above picture).
