Optical Hardware Elinor OSTARA 12 x50mm Review
Having seen good reviews for these binoculars on various websites, I purchased a second hand pair off of eBay and I think they are great.
I have had some quality low power binoculars for a while, and they have been useful when I have remembered to take them out with me!
Here is the view from my office window taken with a camera (no zoom), centered on the steeple top.
What does 12 times magnification do?
Here is the same picture, taken through the Optical Hardware Elinor OSTARA 12 x 50, as you can see the magnification is huge.
The fuzzyness is probably due to me taking a picture through the binoculars in reality the view is crystal clear.
Optical Hardware Elinor OSTARA 12 x 50 Build Quality
The Optical Hardware Elinor OSTARA 12 x 50 are fairly chunky, but the results speak for them selves, very high magnification without any loss of field of view.
The price I paid for a second hand pair was £100, I have seen new for sale at £150, and RRP is £199.
These bicoculars have won numerous awards, the most publicised being the sky at night best in class award some years ago.
Full group test.
I have not heard of optical hardware before as a brand but they seem well made, and with a 30 year guarantee. . . well what can you say.
